Lorelai was lying in the bed. She was feeling weak, weary, lifeless. The depressing room seemed to only enlarge her pain but she couldn’t sleep. She couldn’t even close her eyes. It was dark in the room, the storm was breaking branches outside. The rain was coming right in the room but she didn’t feel it. She didn’t even notice it. Life had just lost its meaning. Everyone she loved was now gone. Dead. Her mother, her fiancé, her sister... Just a week ago she learned her father and brother got killed along with some friends while hunting. Neighbors tried to help her get over the pain but she refused to be visited by anyone. It was just pointless. No one could take her pain away. Sympathizing was not the same. It’s never the same unless you really feel it yourself. Her maid servant was the only person to stay with her in the dark, gloomy castle. She was scared that if she let the mistress stay alone, Lorelai might go completely mad. But they didn’t talk for a week and the lady refuse...
